K Body
The patented Original BESSEY Body clamp features precision-guided jaws with large, flat faces, making it particularly useful in situations where parts (even of a vulnerable nature) are required to be clamped together at right angels. It is particularly suitable for use with wood, plastics and light metals. Thanks to its special clamping mechanism, which prevents any twisting or tilting movements, and the precision guidance of the sliding arm by means of hardened rollers, the two jaws stay parallel in every position, thereby ensuring that clamped parts are consistently secured at right angles.
Special steel inserts in both jaws provide the requisite strength to exert high clamping pressures.
Four hardened rollers maintain a constant right-angle between the shaft and the sliding arm.
Sliding arm made of special zinc alloy by the die-casting method to precise dimensional and angle tolerances, electrogalvanized.
Non-slip mechanism: two grub screws in the sliding arm engage the serrated edge of the rail when the jaw is inclined, ensuring the utmost security - no slipping or releasing.
Hollow profile rail made of cold drawn steel from our own drawing mill, optimised for high static stress loadings, serrated on six faces, electrogalvanized.
Casings made of super polyamide, unbreakable, glue repellent, resistant to paints and grease-solvents; with large flat jaw faces for gentle, parallel clamping without spacers, over the entire length of the rail.
Spindle with acme thread, rolled, work-hardened, wear resistant, browned; smooth action.
Ergonomic wooden handle, flush riveted to the spindle.
Plastic stop made of shockresistant polyamide. Can be removed without using tools for converting the sliding arm to spreading function. To give parallel support for the clamp.
